Things happening with the project

Just a quick update on some things going on in the project:

1) On Sunday, Trude Dothan and Sy Gitin, excavators of Tel Miqne-Ekron and first class experts on the Philistines, will be visiting the Safi lab in Bar-Ilan University to look over and discuss with us finds from the Safi excavations. This should be a very interesting and stimulating morning and we are all waiting for it!

2) We are planning a small “staff season” for several days at the end of March, 2006, to do some work in Area C6 (near the siege trench) and to start a hopefully long-term cooperation with the Kimmel Center for Archaeological Science at Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot).
