this week’s staff member spotlight focuses on the Pebbles. The Pebbles are: Rona Avissar (who has been on the staff since 2000), Amit Dagan (who joined the staff in 2005) and Shira Gur-Arie (who has been on the staff since 2004), the team that excavated Area A2 last season. This year the Pebbles will be opening a new area, one terrace above Area A. While they are demanding that the area be labeled Area P, it most likely will not be, and this is punishment for kidnapping and torturing Elmo last season. yes its true - these are the culprates.
So as not to paint a distorted picture, other than that iolated incident, the three Pebbles are one of the most active goups on the digs, constantly offering a helping hand, and being an all-around-fun group to hang out with. At breakfast, you can find them eating funny salads, dried fruit, and whole-wheat bread. During their free time, Shira spends her time driving around with truck drivers, Amit Barbeques for large groups, and Rona fixes. As a group, Rona, Shira and Amit spend the rest of the year trying to fix the mess me and Itzick made in the lab over the years, and helping me move wooden bookcases for no real reason.
Of course, an integral part of the team are Leon and Nikita (on the left), who are best known for sniffing around Area A1. By the way, these are the only team members who weren’t complaining all season about not having enough finds in their area. That’s right, it’s no problem not whining - after all, this is the team that discovered the Goliath inscription!!!!
