Reminder: Young scholars archaeological science meeting this Tuesday at BIU

As previously mentioned, this Tuesday (Feb. 22nd, 2011) there is a worshop/meeting at BIU at which young scholars working on various aspects relating to archaeological science (or “microarchaeology” following the Aharoni memorial day suggestions). This meeting, which is an outgrow of the joint BIU/WIS program in archaeological science will have some very interesting papers on various aspects of research conducted by MA and PhD students at BIU, WIS, HU, and TAU. Should be very interesting!
Here is a picture of Shira Gur Arei (who will be giving a talk at the meeting) and Ruty Shahak-Gross (who will be chairing one of the sessions) working on the excavation and anylsis of one of the Philistine hearths in Area A, while some of the archaeological science field school are working in the background.
