Update for July 13th

Another great day!
In Area A, Louise’s team had some nice finds, including:
An additional hearth in the Iron levels

Here is Francois from the Melbourne team uncovering the hearth.

Some very nice vessels, including a chalice and some other vessels were found, and a level rich with organic materials including many seeds was picked up as well.

Here is a picture a great Myc IIIC bowl from last week

Alex and his team continued working in the temple and found today several vessels and various small finds, including what may be a stone chariot fitting!

In Area E, they continued uncovering the EB levels and street and the LB pit and had some interesting finds in both levels.

In Area F, they took out the buried jar, and unfortunately, it was not full of 22 billion dollars in treasure!

Here is Christina, from Jeff’s team about the remove the lid above the jar.

In Area D, Amit and his team continue to excavate astounding finds from the 9th cent. destruction, including many vessels, loom weights, and other finds.

In addition, we had various visitors, including two groups from the Israel Exploration Society and some of my family!
