News has just come out that Prof. Ami Mazar, perhaps Israel’s leading archaeologist, has been awarded the prestigious “Israel Prize“.
Ami, who has excavated, and extensively published, some very important sites in Israel (including: Qasile, Batash, Beth Shean, Rehov), is one of the leading figures in the archaeology of Israel and the entire ancient near east. In addition, he is a very nice guy!
