As it seems now, the 2010 season at Tell es-Safi/Gath will be quite large (or as my kids say – ginormous!). From the current registration, in the first 3 weeks of the excavation we will have a team of more than 100 people! That is quite a large group – and this will enable us to excavate in several areas, with nice sized teams, in different parts of the tell.
This will mean that by the end of the season I may be in the need of hospitalization in a closed psychiatric ward, but that’s another issue…
(there is an advantage to this – it saves needing to figure out what to do for the post-dig vacation…).
