Prof. Donald Redford (Penn State) this evening gave the first of three lectures, as part of the 8th Trude Dothan Lectureship, sponsered jointly by the Albright Institute, Al Quds University and the Hebrew University. This evening, Prof. Redford gave a lecture on current directions in the archaeology of Egypt (at the Ecole Biblique). Tomorrow, he will be talking about his excavations at Mendes, and on Thursday he will be speaking about aspects related to the Amarna period.
I hope to be at all of the lectures.
