Tuesday, June 3rd – the finds start popping up!

Today, almost all the areas are were in full swing of excavation, and as expected, finds began appearing.

The prize find of the day is a ceramic head of a bull, probably dating to the LB or early Iron Age, that was found by Stephanie in Area A2. But in other areas as well, many finds are popping up – right near the surface and it looks like we will soon have a lot of finds from the various areas!!!

Here is Stephanie and Louise with the find:

And here is proof that that the team members are working very hard – they are so exhausted that they fall asleep in the fruit break!

:-)

More to come!

      1. Joan is in the picture with everyone resting at fruit break. If you have any 'mud brick' she's pretty good at finding it. She will appreciate the humour. Phil

Thanks Aren, I can see Joan in the fruit break photo. I assume you know what ‘mud brick’ is and if you have any, Joan is pretty good at finding it. She will appreciate the humour.
