Today, all the areas took down the tarps and finished the cleaning and this evening we continue with the final fotos, continuing tomorrow morning and evening, and then finally, on Thursday morning, the aerial photos with the balloon. Even though the work was hard, hot and not easy, the whole team worked in a fantastic manner and we finished all the work in the field earlier than we had expected. We now have mainly work in the kibbutz, packing, loading, arranging, sending back to BIU, and lots of more work in the bioarchaeological lab – floation, washing bones, picking, etc.
We also had quite a few visitors today, and among others, I showed the site to Yossi Garfinkel, David Adan, Iossi Bordowitz, and Zvika Zuk.
We also were visited by our conservator Yeshayahu, who gave us the instructions for how to leave the various fields at the end of the season so that minimal damage will be caused until next summer.
