Figurine surface find at Safi??!!

Today, an archaeology student from Tel Aviv Univ got in touch with me to say that on a visit to Tell es-Safi/Gath, he found on the surface of the site a portion of a figurine or zoomorphic vessel, and that he wishes to give it to the project.

First of all – very nice and ethical move on his part. Yeah!

Two – I’m dying to see what it is! What is it?

Three – I’ll report on the “results” as soon as I see it. :-)
