Nate Ramsayer is on the roll! Wins AIA photo competition with photo from Safi 2012!

Nate Ramsayer is really on the roll! After his great piece on the ASOR blog (mentioned here), he just informed me that he was has won an award from the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) for the best excavation related photograph! The award gives him a year’s subscription to Archaeology and free entrance to the AIA annual meeting.

This is the winning photo – taken by Nate in Area P when the team was straightening a balk from the previous seasons.  In the foreground of the picture you can see Sue Frumin, Adam Lindqvist and Michael Joyce. On the right upper hand background you can see the tarp covering Area A.
