As I mentioned previously, I’m in Chicago for the ASOR and SBL meetings, but clearly, am mainly thinking of what is going on at home in Israel….
Yesterday we had the very interesting Philistine session at the ASOR with a bunch of very nice papers and a lively discussion.
Following that, in the evening, most of the Safiites at the ASOR conference met for supper – and we had a great time!
I was also asked to mention the event that I will be participating in this Sunday morning, organized by “Foundation Stone” in which Oded Liphschutz, Barnea Selavan and your truly will discuss the interface between bible and archaeology as seen thru the excavations at Gath and Azekah. For those of you who can, do look at the event webpage – and perhaps join us!
שומר ישראל, שמור שארית ישראל!
