If you ever had doubts about the erosional effects of rain, and its ability to sweep away sediments, see this astounding video, taken this weekend, of a flood in the Harod Valley river bed, in northern Israel. The rains have simply swept away the sediments from the surrounding fields and completely clogged up the river.
Watch this till the end – quite astounding!

Astounding is barely the word! One can understand how thousands of Alexander’s troops were washed away and drowned in such a flood.

Wow, the power of water. This is really amazing when I contrast it to the almost dry Spring of Harod when I visited there in September.

Yes, terrific. It remided me of one verse in ‘Debora’s Poem’ , Judges 5: 21 which stated succinctly that a river swept away enemies soldiers.
Whoever wrote this verse may well have seen personally what the video above described.
