As mentioned previously, on Wednesday, the 20th of April, 2016, the 42nd annual archaeological congress in Israel will be held at Tel Aviv University.
The official schedule has now been published and you can see it below.
There are quite a few very interesting talks (all in Hebrew), including four (!!!) that are connected to the Safi project:
1) me – a critical view on the supposed “Canaanite Enclave” in the Iron I Shephelah;
2) Amit et al.: Update on the new fortifications and gate in Area D at Tell els-Safi/Gath;
3) Shira et al.: On EB cultic deposits in Area E at Tell es-Safi/Gath;
4) Sue – on the origins of various EB plants – including finds from Tell es-Safi/Gath
These and many other lectures promise to make this a very interesting day!
