As I mentioned before (see here), a few weeks ago, the important Iron I cultic site on Mt. Ebal, just north of Nablus/Shechem was damaged, when bulldozers, working to pave a road from Nablus to a nearby village, destroyed part of the outer perimeter wall of this important site. Since then, there has been a lot of discussions about this in Israel and abroad, among politicians, archaeologists, the general media and more.
A very summary and overview of what happened so far, was just published in the Times of Israel by Amanda Borschel-Dan, who, as usual, was very thorough and even handed in her reporting, having interviewed many people involved in the story, and experts (such as myself) who expressed their opinions on various issues.
