Great day at the dig! Lots of finds in the various areas. We also had a visit from the BIU Rector – Prof. Amnon Albeck, who is an avid fan of archaeology!
In Area M, Maria and her team have found tons of vessels, loomweights and other finds, including several complete vessels.
In Area D, Jeff and his team have found and defined two portions of the fortifications in this areas, which will serve to date and to understand various phases of the gate area.
In Area S, Shira and her team are revealing very impressive walls – which seem to indicate that there is a large public building hiding just below surface!
And tomorrow is the last day of the first week!
