More new publications: Summary on archaeology/history of Israel/Palestine and article in Spanish

So as to keep out of trouble (in between Ukraine, global warming, Monkeypox and Covid), I’m happy to announce the publication of two new papers.

This first paper is a short summary of the archaeology and cultural history of Israel/Palestine, from the Neolithic through Hellenistic Period, which just appeared in the Encyclopedia of Material Culture in the Biblical World: A New Biblisches Reallexikon. I believe this article will be particularly useful as an introduction to the topic, for students and lay persons.

The full title of the article is:

Maeir, A. M. 2022. Archaeology and Cultural History. Pp. XXIX-LIII in Encyclopedia of Material Culture in the Biblical World: A New Biblisches Reallexikon, eds. A. Berlejung, P. M. M. Daviau, J. Kamlah and G. Lehmann. Tubingen: Mohr Siebeck.

The second paper is a popular summary, in Spanish, which deals primarily with the history and archaeology of the Kingdom of Judah, during the Iron Age of the Levant.

This paper is entitled:

Maeir, A. M. 2022. Judá y el final de los reinos israelitas. Desperta Ferro. Arqueologia e Historia 43: 34–41.

I’d be more than happy to send them to whoever is interested!
