Hi, Aren– So appreciate your longstanding work at Gath! I read your post from 2015 about the area D fortifications and the gateway there. Did you ever confirm that was the gate possibly that Samuel mentions from the time of David?

Hi! Great to hear from and so glad you appreciate our work at the site. All we can say about the gate is that it is from the 10th and 9th centuries BCE. More than that is speculation…
