And if already showing old pictures, here is a picture from the winter 1989 excavations at Tel Beth Shean, directed by Ami Mazar. In the picture, you can see Bob Mullins standing at the left, and me (Aren) standing 3rd from the right, and with us some of the local workers who participated in the excavations. Bob and I were area supervisors in the excavations of the MB and LB cultic precincts (published here).
Notice, in the background – you can see the iconic dead tree that still can be seen on the top of Tel Beth Shean, which was originally placed there when the crucifixion scene from the movie “Jesus Christ Superstar” was filmed on the site.
