Looking forward to participating in the fascinating conference “Hazael and His World: Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Discovery of the Tel Dan Inscription”, held under the auspices of NYU Tel Aviv and HUC Jerusalem, which will be held in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on June 5–6, 2024. The conference organizer is Dr. Yifat Thareani, Nelson Glueck School of Biblical Archaeology, HUC, and NYU Tel Aviv.
As you can see in the schedule below, there will be quite a few fascinating lecturers! I will give a paper “Identifying Hazael’s Actions in the Southern Levant: A Case of Looking for the Lost Coin under the Lamp Post?” in which I will question some suggestions to “blame” Hazael for various destructions found at archaeological sites.
