Lecture at Rikkyo University and some sites in Tokyo

Today, I had the pleasure to give a lecture at Rikkyo University in Tokyo, at the kind invitation of Prof. Shuichi Hasegawa. I gave a talk about the Philistines and their culture, and how and why the Philistines disappeared. See the flyer below.

Before that, David and Susan Tsumura took me on a tour of a few sites in Tokyo, including the Sensō-ji temple, which is an ancient Buddhist temple in the Asakusa neighborhood in Tokyo, the area of the National Museum with its beautiful gardens, and the Ancient Orient Museum in Tokyo, which has a very nice collection of ancient Near Eastern artifacts from a broad range of cultures (but very little from Israel and the southern Levant).
